Artwork & File Preparation

For the best print quality, please make sure your artwork is properly prepared before uploading to Mitten Made Custom Designs.

Providing a clean, high-quality file helps us produce sharp, vibrant, professional DTF transfers.

Recommended File Type

For best results, we recommend:

  • PNG files

  • Transparent background

  • 300 DPI resolution

  • Artwork created at the actual size you want printed

High-quality PDF, PSD, AI, or SVG files may also be accepted when applicable.

Transparent Background

Your artwork should have a transparent background unless you want the background printed as part of your design.

Please remove any unwanted:

  • White backgrounds

  • Colored boxes

  • Extra objects

  • Unnecessary space around the design

Anything visible in your uploaded artwork may be printed.

Image Resolution

We recommend artwork at 300 DPI for the best possible print quality.

Low-resolution images may appear:

  • Blurry

  • Pixelated

  • Soft around the edges

  • Less detailed when printed

Uploading a larger low-quality image does not automatically improve its resolution.

Artwork Size

Upload your design at the exact size you would like it printed whenever possible.

For example, if you need a design printed at 10 inches wide, prepare or size your artwork to approximately 10 inches wide before uploading.

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct transfer size and dimensions when ordering.

Do Not Mirror Your Artwork

Please upload your artwork in its normal readable orientation unless the product instructions specifically state otherwise.

Do not mirror or flip your design before uploading. We will prepare the transfer correctly for DTF production.

Fine Details

Very small text, extremely thin lines, and tiny design elements may not reproduce perfectly.

For best results:

  • Use clear, readable text

  • Avoid extremely thin lines

  • Remove unnecessary transparent pixels

  • Keep important details large enough to print clearly

Color Information

Please keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different between your phone, monitor, and finished DTF transfer.

Screen brightness, monitor settings, and different color profiles can affect how colors appear digitally.

We work to produce bright and accurate colors, but an exact screen-to-print color match cannot always be guaranteed.

Gang Sheet Preparation

When uploading a completed DTF gang sheet, please make sure:

  • Your sheet matches the size selected when ordering

  • All designs fit completely inside the canvas

  • No artwork extends beyond the edges

  • Designs have enough spacing between them for cutting

  • Backgrounds are transparent unless intentionally included

  • Artwork is high resolution and print-ready

We will print uploaded gang sheets based on the file provided.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for reviewing their artwork before submitting an order.

Please check:

  • Spelling

  • Sizing

  • Image quality

  • Transparency

  • Design placement

  • Colors

  • Gang sheet dimensions

Mitten Made Custom Designs is not responsible for errors that are already present in the customer-supplied artwork.

Copyright & Trademark

By uploading artwork, you confirm that you own the design or have permission to reproduce it.

Customers are responsible for ensuring submitted artwork does not violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.

We reserve the right to refuse artwork that may violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
